Is it okay for girls to use vibrators?

Yes, and it's far more common than most people let on.

Heather's sells to over-18s only and nothing here is intended for anyone younger. Beyond that, using a vibrator on your own or with a partner is an ordinary way to learn what you like. If it's your first one, start on the lowest setting and use a water-based lubricant.

Are vibrators good for women's health?

There's no health claim to make here, so the useful answer is about material and care.

• Choose 100% silicone or another certified body-safe material. Silicone is non-porous, hypoallergenic and easier to sanitise. Cheap porous jelly, PVC and vague TPR blends can trap bacteria.
• Wash before first use and after every use with warm water and a mild unscented soap or a toy cleaner, then dry fully.
• Use a water-based lubricant with silicone. Silicone lube can degrade silicone.
