How Discreet Delivery Works at Heather's

At Heather's, your order ships in plain, unmarked packaging, door-to-door via local SA couriers, usually within 3-7 business days.

Your neighbour sees a plain courier parcel. Your building's receptionist sees a sender name ("Heather's"), a waybill number, and nothing else. No product list, no photos, no hint of what's inside.

Read on to find out exactly what's on the parcel, what shows on your bank statement, what lands in your order email, and how delivery actually plays out in South African complexes, estates, and pickup points.

What Heather's Plain Packaging Looks Like

The outer parcel is unbranded. No product names, no photos, no suggestive stickers. It looks like any other online order arriving at your door: a plain box or courier bag with a standard waybill on the outside.

The waybill carries what couriers legally need to move the parcel: your delivery address, a tracking number, and a sender field. The sender shows as "Heather's".

It's a name, not a description, so it reveals nothing about what's inside: no products, no images, no adult or explicit wording. Anyone who handles the parcel just sees an ordinary delivery from a shop called Heather's.

Inside, your items are sealed and protected. The product only reveals itself once you've opened everything, in private, in your own time.

How Your Order Shows on Your Bank Statement

Your card statement shows "Heather's Online Shop" and the amount, like any other online purchase. It names the store, never the products you bought, and never any itemised or explicit terms. So the line item won't spell out what's inside your order, but it does carry the shop's name.

That's worth knowing if you share an account: someone reviewing the statement can see you shopped at Heather's, even though they can't tell what you ordered. The packaging is the stronger privacy layer here. If you'd rather the purchase not appear at all on a shared statement, use a card only you review.

Prices are in rand, and you're charged in rand, so there are no surprise foreign-currency conversion fees or cross-border charges. That matters here: many global adult brands don't ship into South Africa at all, or they bill from overseas and land you with customs delays and forex costs. I'm SA-based and ship within South Africa, so everything is local and quicker.

What the Order Email Shows

The parcel and the bank statement are discreet about what you bought. Your order confirmation email is not.

I'm legally required to send you an itemised record of your purchase. That arrives as the order confirmation email to the address you use at checkout. It includes your order number, the product titles (the storefront names, such as "The Bartender"), quantities, and the amounts, subtotal, shipping, and total. It's the normal order email, and it doubles as your invoice/receipt.

So if privacy matters on a shared computer or a shared inbox, use an email address only you open. The courier never sees that list, it only goes to your inbox.

How Delivery and Tracking Works

I ship door-to-door through trusted South African courier partners. I ship anywhere in South Africa, and only within South Africa, so there's no international shipping and no cross-border handoffs. Standard shipping is R99 anywhere in South Africa, and orders over R1800 ship free.

Here's the timing to plan around:

Orders are processed in 1-2 business days, then delivery usually takes 3-7 business days. In peak periods, over public holidays, or to remote areas, allow up to 10 business days. Main-centre addresses in and around Joburg, Cape Town, Durban, and Pretoria are faster. If you live somewhere just before Vioolsdrift or Kakamas, delivery might take a day or two longer.

Once your order ships, I email you a tracking number and link so you can follow it from dispatch to delivery. If it hasn't arrived within about 3 business days, check your spam folder before assuming anything's gone wrong. Tracking also lets you time delivery for when you're home, which is half the privacy battle in a shared space.

If there's an issue, WhatsApp me (064 997 6277) and I'll get it sorted.

Delivery in Complexes, Estates, and Apartment Blocks

This is where South African reality comes in. Plenty of us live behind a boom gate, a security desk, or a body corporate rule that parcels go to a central point.

A few things to plan for:

  • Estates and boomed complexes: The courier often can't reach your unit directly. The guard or gatehouse may accept the parcel, or phone you to come to the gate. Add your unit number and a clear note.
  • Office or reception delivery: If you ship to work, someone at reception may sign. The packaging is plain, but a colleague could still hand it to you. A home or pickup-point address is usually more private.
  • Contact number: Add a cell number you actually answer. Couriers call before or during delivery, and a missed call can push you into a re-delivery.

If You'd Rather Not Receive It at Home

Delivery is door-to-door, so the courier brings your parcel to the address you enter at checkout. If home isn't private enough, the simplest move is to ship to an address where only you take in parcels: your own place at a time you know you'll be in, a trusted friend's house, or a work address, only if you're comfortable with reception handling a plain package.

Whichever address you choose, the parcel stays unmarked and the sender shows only "Heather's", so whoever hands it over sees an ordinary courier delivery from a shop and nothing about the contents. Use the tracking link to catch it yourself rather than leaving it with someone else.

What's on the Parcel vs What Isn't

Channel What it shows What it does NOT show
Outer packaging Plain box or courier bag, waybill Product names, photos, adult branding
Waybill sender field "Heather's" (a plain store name) Products, photos, or any adult/explicit wording
Bank statement "Heather's Online Shop" and the amount Itemised products or explicit terms
Order confirmation email Order number, product titles, quantities, totals Sent only to your checkout email - not on the parcel
Shipping / tracking email Tracking number, delivery status Full product list (that's on the order email)

Once you know your delivery's covered, browse in your own time. Start with our full range of intimate-wellness products or go straight to the vibrators collection if you already know what you're after.

Privacy FAQ

What will show on my bank statement? "Heather's Online Shop" and the amount, the same style as any other online order. It names the store but never the products or any explicit terms. So a shared statement will show that you shopped with us, though not what you bought. For a purchase that doesn't appear on a shared statement at all, use a card only you review.

Does the order email list what I bought? Yes. I'm legally required to send an itemised record of your purchase. The confirmation email to your checkout address includes product titles, quantities, and totals. Use a private inbox if that matters. The parcel and bank statement still don't spell out the products.

What sender name appears on the courier waybill? "Heather's", our plain short store name. It's just a name, so it reveals nothing about the contents: no products, no images, no adult or explicit wording. Anyone handling the parcel sees an ordinary delivery from a shop and a tracking number.

Can I choose where it's delivered? Yes. Delivery is door-to-door to whatever address you enter at checkout, so you can send it somewhere only you receive parcels and time it using the tracking link. I ship anywhere in South Africa, but only within South Africa.

What if someone else signs for my parcel? In complexes and offices, a guard, receptionist, or family member may accept it. The packaging stays plain and the sender shows only "Heather's" either way, so the contents aren't revealed. For maximum privacy, use an address where only you take in deliveries and catch it via tracking.

Are returns discreet too? You have 14 days from receiving your order to return eligible items. For hygiene and safety, intimate and sexual-wellness products (vibrators and other adult toys, lingerie, lubricants) can't be returned once opened or once the hygiene seal is broken.

Unopened items in their original sealed packaging can be returned within 14 days with proof of purchase. If something arrives defective, damaged, or it's the wrong item, contact us immediately on arrival.

To start a return, email hello@heathers.co.za, and see our full return policy for the details. Returns follow the same plain-packaging approach, with no itemised labelling.
