"THE Bondage Rope"

Bamboo silk sits softer against skin than hemp or jute, and "THE Bondage Rope" is spun from it: 11 metres of single-ply three-strand twist, 6 mm thick, in a rainbow that comes from dyeing the strands before they are spun.

If you've never tied anything before, the length gives you room to practise, and the label has first-knot instructions printed on it. It arrives waxed and treated, so there is no conditioning to do first. Emojibator lists it as hypoallergenic, which matters if jute or hemp has irritated your skin.

Use it for decorative ties and restraint. Emojibator says suspension is possible but not its preferred use, so leave that to rope you have been taught on. One reviewer found the tied ends worked loose and needed re-knotting. It's covered by a three-year warranty.
